Import TV Show files with incorrectly named episode numbers.I do not know what is actually going on here, and have not looked at the logs to confirm the cause of this issue all I can do is validate it's an issue common enough that I see it almost every 3 shows I import. I would expect that when rescraping my TMM content, it references the saved meta data first, then the file name second.before referencing either TMM DB or Original File Name.

This is the result of duplicate manual adds disappearing and episodes being rescrapped incorrectly and thus absent when checking for missing episodes. Here is an example of all the missing episodes post re-scrape that previously I'd accounted for. There are many other examples, but the gist should be covered in this. As shown, the file name was correctly renamed when it was originally corrected, but the original file name episode number matches incorrectly the episode that has been recreated as if it was originally imported with the original file name. Here, we see an episode that retained it's correct metadata, correct renamed file, and shows the original filename being different episode number.īut then, there is a duplicate entry for the episode. Looking at the Original file name proves that this is now how the episode was originally imported. This does not seem to occur if everything is corrected a second time, closing TMM, opening TMM, and scraping yet again.Īs you can see here, the file names are correctly renamed, but the episodes no longer exist that were manually created to account for the multipart episode. The renamed files are all correct still, despite rescraping giving them wrong episodes. So I had to make quite a few corrections which is the only reason I noticed the failure. Much of the content had multi part episodes I combined in single files.

In the example for logs I'll attached, I'd imported the show iCarly for my cousin (yep, I'm making sure my reason is in the bug report!) from backups.

Especially since it seems to be not 100% of the time nor even 100% of corrections in imported TV shows. Then rescrape to ensure all data was accurate however I've now found that this isn't a solution and concerns me for any other missed erroneous data now in my library.

My solution had always been after completing all changes and renaming, to simply close TMM cleanly and reopen. I've seen this issue come up countless times, but never felt it was bug worthy as I thought it must be a failure in my process. Now I'm leveraging TMM for this because I want to preserve original file names now that they are captured. I've not seen this until recent, as for years past, I would manually adjust the file name at import to sort incorrect content. Almost as if it's not saving to TMM DB or that it's referencing original file name. After this, if I rescrape the show, even after closing TMM and reopening, the content will suddenly revert everything back to the original data scanned in. Once I've corrected all imported content, I will rename. After importing content, I will correct each content that is wrong by searching for and scraping the episode.
